Universal Orlando at a glance

More than a one-park side quest

Universal Orlando Resort is a full vacation destination with four theme parks, themed hotels and Universal CityWalk. Whether your crew wants coasters, Harry Potter, Nintendo, water rides or a little bit of everything, the right ticket and hotel can make a major difference.

Choose your adventure

Meet the four parks

Most families need more than one day. Shocking, I know. Here is what makes each park worth your vacation time.

01

Movies come to life

Universal Studios Florida

Step into blockbuster worlds, Diagon Alley, character encounters and attractions built around movies and pop culture.

Best for: Harry Potter fans, movie lovers and mixed-age families.

02

Big thrills & iconic lands

Islands of Adventure

Home to superheroes, dinosaurs, Hogsmeade and some of Universal Orlando’s biggest thrill rides.

Best for: Coaster fans, tweens, teens and adventurous adults.

03

Five immersive worlds

Universal Epic Universe

Explore Celestial Park, SUPER NINTENDO WORLD, Dark Universe, How to Train Your Dragon and the Ministry of Magic.

Best for: Everyone who wants the newest, most immersive Universal experience.

04

Water park, upgraded

Universal Volcano Bay

A tropical water theme park with family areas, a massive wave pool, lazy rivers and serious slides.

Best for: Hot-weather breaks, water-slide fans and a slower vacation day.

Bonus stop

Quick answers

Universal planning FAQ

The short version: there are more choices than there used to be. The good news is you do not have to untangle them alone.

How many days do I need at Universal Orlando?

Three to five park days works well for many families, depending on whether you include Epic Universe and Volcano Bay. Shorter trips are possible, but priorities matter.

Do I need park-to-park tickets?

Park-to-park access gives you more flexibility and is required for certain experiences that travel between Universal Studios Florida and Islands of Adventure. We can compare the options for your itinerary.

Is Universal Express worth it?

It can be, especially on busy dates or short trips. Before buying it separately, compare on-site hotels that may include Express benefits for registered guests.

Can younger kids enjoy Universal?

Yes, but the best plan depends on ages and heights. Universal has character experiences, play areas and family attractions alongside its major thrill rides.
